So, let me get this straight: Jackwagon Johnson and “Bill Lee” Reeves, Jr. fight fearlessly to get establishment yes-men elected in the Williamson County GOP.
Despite spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, they lose. Again.
So, what’s the solution? Easy… Take away caucus & convention rights from every single GOP group in 95 counties across Tennessee. Essentially, they are trampling on freedom of association and TNGOP autonomy.
If the TNGOP wants to select candidates by spinning a bottle, that’s their prerogative.
As the Williamson County GOP Chair was being disrespectfully told by RINO Todd Gardenhire to “keep his mouth shut,” where was Scott Golden? Shouldn’t he be the one standing up to these folks.
Should someone file a “missing person report?” Where is Scott? I’ve not heard a PEEP.
When things like this get going, you can’t WAIT until they are half-way through the process before you take action. It’s a time-sensitive issue.
For the past 5 years, we’ve watched Scott Golden meekly except and even cheerlead every bad RINO-led initiative. From unconstitutional Co Vid restrictions to awful illegal immigration votes unending. Corporate welfare, restricting freedom of speech, hamstringing grassroots… you name it.
Scott’s always there to cheer them on. Never a critique… even when the party platform and GOP Primary voters’ wishes are entirely ignored.
Despite repeated calls from the SEC to close the primaries, nothing has happened. In fact, the bill to close the primaries didn’t get a single vote in the Senate!
Talk about open disrespect and contempt for the will of the GOP constituent.
Meanwhile in Montana, the state GOP, fed up with RINOs, has censured nine state senators and will no longer consider them to be Republicans. Do we have half the grit they have in our TNGOP? Will our SEC members stand up for the party… or roll over, again.
Here’s what I suggest: Make it clear that any Senator or Rep who votes for this nonsense will be censured. If they don’t want to be good Republicans, let them run as Independents… though many would likely be more comfortable as Democrats.
Further, it’s time the TNGOP clearly define a platform and actually hold its members accountable.
We have issues like illegal immigration, where 95% of GOP primary voters want serious reforms, but RINOs vote with democrats to kill the bills… or worse yet, don’t even show up to vote!
It’s time for this crap to end.
Where is Scott Golden? Where is the SEC?
Their actions over the next few days will tell you everything you need to know.
Reach out to your SEC member. Ask what should be done. Then, vote accordingly in 2026. This is a test of leadership… Will they pass?
Also of note, the TNGOP SEC will meet at the Hilton in Mt. Juliet on April 12th at 10AM. The newly elected county chairmen will meet there at 1PM following lunch. Wouldn’t it be a shame if 1,000 conservative Republican citizens showed up and crashed the party?
