Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

To effectively combat the rise of Reform, the Labour and Conservative parties should merge. They would be an ideal fit for each other (if not fit for anything else). They could be called the Laboratory Party (no, not lavatory, lab-or-a-tory, the one filled with all the failed experiments like multiculturism).

The are ideal partners, intellectually incomplete, full of unfulfilled promises, benevolent with other people’s money and both with masterful self interest. An ideal marriage which I am sure will attract the best wishes and votes of us all.
