DICKSON, TN – State Representative Jody Barrett was honored as the Conservative Legislator of the Year by the Conservative Club of Tellico, a grassroots group of over 1,500 patriotic Americans.
“Nashville may have forgotten who they work for, but I haven’t,” said Rep. Barrett. “I don’t answer to the lobbyists, the insiders, or the woke mob. I answer to the people. The forgotten men and women who pay the taxes, raise the families, run the businesses, and make Tennessee work.”
The Appreciation Award recognizes Barrett’s outstanding service and steadfast commitment to conservative values in the Tennessee legislature. From protecting constitutional freedoms to pushing back against government overreach, Barrett has emerged as one of the loudest and clearest voices for the grassroots in Tennessee.
“The Nashville elites tried to silence our voice, but all they did was make it stronger. As long as I’ve got a voice and a vote, I’ll keep fighting for the God-fearing, freedom-loving Tennesseans who built this state and deserve a government that works for them,” said Barrett.
