Several illegal aliens, one of which was already a convicted felon, have been arrested over the last few days by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office on a variety of charges, including theft and violence.

On Sunday, June 1, 27-year-old Gerson Aristides Herrera Garcia was arrested driving under the influence, violation of the open container law, and not meeting the driver’s license requirement. He was booked on a $5000 bond. All of the charges were misdemeanors.

Officers also arrested 21-year-old Dilan Uribe Puello the same day for misdemeanor domestic assault. He was booked with a $4000 bond.

On Monday, June 2, 24-year-old Franklin Magdiel Vasquez was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was booked on a $4000 bond.

30-year-old Javier Lopez-Norales was also arrested Monday on a total of 9 different charges:

  • Felony violation of probation
  • Driving without a license
  • Criminal impersonation
  • Vehicle Theft $2500 or > but
  • Theft of a firearm
  • Evading arrest
  • Felon in possession of a handgun
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor (2 counts)

Lopez-Norales was given a total bond amount of $59,000.

This is not Lopez-Norales’ first dealings with law enforcement in Davidson County.

He was arrested in October 2023 for burglary of a vehicle. His charges of possession of burglary tools and possessing a weapon after federal restrictions were dismissed in January 2024. Judgement was deferred on two other charges of burglary and possession of a weapon. He was ordered to pay court costs and serve two years, 11 months, and 29 days of probation. That case has now been reopened.

He was also found guilty of criminal trespassing in April 2024 and ordered to pay fees as well.

Records show that Lopez-Norales is also known by the alias Francisco Daniel Martinez.

All four of the arrested individuals now have ICE detainers, according to Davidson County inmate records.

They will remain in custody until they are turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An immigration hold most likely means these individuals are in the country illegally.
