Three illegal aliens were arrested in Davidson County over the last two days on charges that include aggravated assault, sex crimes, and drugs.

25-year-old Ramon de Jesus Velasquez Martinez was arrested on Tuesday, June 3. Martinez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and trafficking for a commercial sex act. He was jailed with a $150,000 bond.

On Wednesday, June 4, police arrested 37-year-old Roman Gonzalez Donte for possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license. He was booked on a $1000 bond.
Donte faced drug charges in Davidson County in 2022, unlicensed use of a vehicle charges in 2023, and assault charges in 2024, among others.

Inmate records show that Martinez and Donte both have ICE detainers. They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Also on Wednesday, 36-year-old Daniel Guadalupe Mejillia was found guilty of sexual battery for an offense that occurred in January 2021.

Records show he was assigned to the Corrections Corporation of America for a six-year suspended sentence.
However, inmate records have Mejillia listed as “out of the country.”
Mejillia has a lengthy criminal history in Davidson County with charges dating back to 2009.
Inmates with immigrant holds are most likely in the country illegally.
