Dear Editor
Keir Starmer has said he will institute a statutory inquiry into the rape gangs. This is not necessarily good news.
It gives Labour the steering hand to ensure the widescale and deep involvement of its politicians – local and national – is obscured, and the identifying of the fundamental Islamic ideology inherent as part of the motivation of the perpetrators is avoided altogether. It will steer as far away as possible from chasing down potential links to orders and directives from the Labour Party hierarchy that would appear to ensure the victims were ignored, and the mostly Muslim perpetrators protected. The most likely outcome is a carefully designed whitewash, making scapegoats of those who were leant on from above to turn blind eyes to the suffering of the young victims, leaving no potentially embarrassing stone touched, and none overturned that would shine light on anything that would endanger Labour continuing to secure the Muslim bloc vote.
The Rupert Lowe-instigated independent national inquiry is under way and, based on the people involved, can be trusted to leave no stone unturned. It is imperative that his inquiry continues, and reaches a full conclusion. This is the only chance to keep the government inquiry honest, and raise issues that Starmer’s inquiry will try to avoid.
The Labour-controlled inquiry is something to be viewed with suspicion and honest scepticism.
