LOL! I am pretty sure it is not the largest in history. This will not be the big one, most likely. I would be surprised if they had the resources to buy houses around targets, recruit between 4 and 10% of the population as junior surveillance people, and deploy the most sophisticated Havana-type directed energy weapons. However all of these spying ops and informant networks tend to intertwine, and have data on each other, so pulling at one thread could jar loose data about another. But the big takeaway is domestic spying is back on the menu, and as one op falls, the chances of it revealing something about another op it interfaced with, or did favors for, goes up. And perhaps most important of all, the society as a whole begins to see its minds molded to accept that it is possible, that within the bastion of Freedom known as America, some traitors did their best to assemble something modeled after the worst of the Stasi, the Gestapo, and every other oppressive terrorist Secret Police force, just so they could enjoy, for a time, the power to oppress and torture innocent citizens who they felt might otherwise have accomplished interesting things. The nation will never, ever forget the story of Ganstalking. It will go down in the annals of American history below even letting Americans die of syphilis just to see how it would happen, and experimenting on foster children. Nor will those who took part ever live it down. I do not think we would ever have seen the words “Havana Syndrome” in the news, were this thing not destined for full exposure and destruction at some point in the near future.
