The Epstein saga may be one step closer to resolution, thanks to a congressman from East Tennessee.

U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (R-Knoxville, District 2) successfully offered a motion directing the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to issue a subpoena compelling Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell to appear for a deposition.

Details about the case have eluded the American people for months. Congressman Burchett has broken the case open with his motion.

According to Burchett’s media release on Tuesday, “Ms. Maxwell is widely known for her role in facilitating Jeffery Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. Her sworn deposition will help shed light on the extent of Epstein’s criminal network, efforts to conceal his crimes, and the cover up that followed. This subpoena is a critical step towards transparency and accountability for victims of abuse and for the American people.”

The congressman stated as follows after his motion to Subpoena Maxwell was approved by the committee, “Today, I am proud to announce that the Oversight Committee approved my motion directing Chairman Comer to subpoena Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell to appear before the House Oversight Committee. This deposition will help the American people understand how Jeffrey Epstein was able to carry out his evil actions for so long without being brought to justice.” – said Tim Burchett

The Tennessee Conservative News will follow this story and report as information on Maxwell’s testimony becomes available.
