Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

On Sunday April 6 I went to a Premiership football game, Brentford vs Chelsea. I always use the Ballymore car park in Brentford High Street. It used to be fine, but now almost all the bays have EV charging points, with signage making it clear that petrol and diesel vehicles are prohibited. Surprise, surprise, it’s now nearly empty! Possibly 10 per cent of spaces were in use.

Apart from the discrimination against petrol and diesel, about which I feel very aggrieved, the car park is clearly not earning any revenue for the owner. I sincerely hope taxpayers’ money was not used for the construction of this useless behemoth.
