Dear Editor
I have read your’Week in review’ articles for quite a long time and I agree with the bulk of what you write.
But you’re wrong on assisted dying.
Wrong.
The concept of assisted dying should be a given. The only matters for debate – and I mean real and serious debate – are the safeguarding arrangements and associated criteria. These need to be of the highest possible integrity.
I fear your view may be contaminated by religion, a concept that, by some margin, has caused humanity the greatest number of conflicts.
