I would say, “OK, give me a second,” closing my eyes and steeling myself, and then opening them to take the hit. Bongino is steeling himself here, during something unpleasant to him. The last photo even has the eyes of a guy who has turned himself off to endure something unpleasant, compared to the clear focused eyes of the first picture:
