A registered sex offender was arrested last week by Memphis police after he allegedly exposed himself to a child at a local library.

Reports state that 32-year-old Robert Collier was arrested on May 21 after a guard caught him touching himself in a bathroom stall at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library.
The guard, who had been made aware of the situation by two boys, attempted to make the man leave when Collier threw a chair at him and attempted to punch him. The guard pepper sprayed him before he fled the scene.

Collier was already being investigated for allegedly exposing himself to a child after following a 10-year-old boy into a restroom at the same library on April 28. The boy’s mother reported that incident to police.
He was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and assault, as well as two felony charges because he is already a registered sex offender.

Collier is no stranger to run-ins with the law, including sexual offenses.
He was arrested in 2018 for exposing himself to an 11-year-old boy in the restroom of Macy’s at Wolfchase Galleria.
He also has a prior conviction of assault and bodily harm from 2015 after he hit a nurse and a doctor at Methodist North Hospital.
