Sign up to challenge the climate zealots

ONE of our readers, Martin Ashford, asked me to share his petition with you. It’s an attempt to make the climate zealots in parliament accountable to the public. It’s easy to say this is a waste of time – but it never is. If we can get it doing the rounds at the very least it will increase awareness of the insanity, irrationality and destructiveness of current energy policy that our taxes are paying for. If it can reach 100,000 signatures it forces debate in Parliament.

The petition demands:

  • thorough nationwide cost-benefit analysis of the construction of solar and wind farms
  • that the subsequent report be made public
  • that the analysis must include environmental, economic, social and health costs, and include comparison of alternative energy e.g. nuclear.

Martin says, quite rightly, that there appears to have been no nationwide cost-benefit analysis made available to the public for scrutiny. In our view, the government is replacing hundreds of thousands of acres of green land with hundreds of thousands of tons of metal, plastics and concrete, and it is doing all this without the explicit permission of its citizens and, seemingly, without any understanding whatsoever of the net impact. The implications of this huge transformation must be spelled out to the public.

The deadline for the petition is October 3. You can sign it here
