An illegal alien was arrested in Davidson County this past Sunday on felony charges of child rape and sexual abuse.
38-year-old Eliud Damien Bautista-Cax was arrested on May 11 and charged with five counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13, child rape, and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
According to DCSO records, the incidents occurred as far back as July 2014.
Bautista-Cax is currently being held in the Downtown Detention Center on a $150,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges on June 25.
Inmate records show that Bautista-Cax also now has an immigrant detainer hold.
He will remain in custody until he is turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An ICE detainer most likely means that he is in this country illegally.
