The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –
An illegal alien is wanted for a hit-and-run accident that took place last month that has the victim still hospitalized.
Venezuelan national Tony Lopez-Infante struck a Florida man, Zach Carach, with a rental car at a crosswalk in Nashville and then fled on foot, leaving the damaged car and the victim behind.

Carach, who was celebrating his 21st birthday, remains in the hospital while the search for Lopez-Infante is ongoing.
Lopez-Infante, last seen in nearby Wilson County, has six outstanding federal warrants from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and entered the United States illegally in August of 2023.
After leaving the scene of the crime, Lopez-Infante was picked up by another individual, but he came back for the car – a Mitsubishi Mirage – later returning it to a rental company in Mt. Juliet on May 19th with damage to the front-end. It was there that officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) discovered the wrecked vehicle.
Once found, Lopez-Infante will be charged with several crimes, according to MNPD, which include leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to render aid or file an accident report, attempted evidence tampering, and possibly driving without insurance or a license.
Lopez-Infante is also wanted for an outstanding probation violation warrant related to theft in Williamson County.

Congressman Andy Ogles has said that Nashville’s Mayor seems to be more focused on protecting illegal aliens, than on protecting the victims of violent crime.
In a post on X, Ogles wrote, “Zach remains hospitalized, yet Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell appears more focused on obstructing federal immigration enforcement than protecting the people of this city. Over the past two weeks, his administration has been accused of leaking DHS agent identities, directing questionable “charity” funds to illegal aliens, and publicly attacking law enforcement officials.”

Carach, who is facing a lengthy recovery, is no stranger to hospital rooms.
According to his mother, Sheena, Carach lives with chronic kidney disease, and lost a kidney when he was just 7-years-old. He also endured a major spinal surgery at 16 and deals with autoimmune issues.

Carach’s family had just spent the whole day celebrating in Nashville with him when the unthinkable happened.
Surveillance video shows Carach looking both ways before crossing Church Street at the clearly marked crosswalk, complete with flashing signal and yellow sign alerting drivers to Tennessee law that requires that they yield to pedestrians. The shocking footage shows the car hitting Carach and throwing him into the air without stopping.
“While crossing in the crosswalk, my precious son was ran over like a piece of garbage and left for dead in the road,” said Carach’s mother. “Witnessing this as a mom was the most horrific day of my life and then to rewatch it on video and see his feet above his head and his head slam the ground was mortifying.”
A reward is being offered for help in locating Lopez-Infante and MNPD is asking for the general public’s assistance.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
