Illegal aliens, including several repeat offenders, continue to be held by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office after being arrested for serious crimes.
In May, an illegal immigrant was arrested and charged with a number of sex crimes against a child. 40-year-old Carlos Almen-Darez was arrested on May 29.
He is charged with Solicitation of a minor/Rape, 4 counts of Display of Sex Acts to a Minor 13+, and 2 counts of Sexual Battery without consent. He was jailed with a total bond of $150,000.
Almen-Darez was previously arrested back in 2021 for domestic assault with bodily injury and violation of an order of protection. He was also charged in 2016 and 2018 for driving without a license, but both of those charges were dismissed.
Officers finished out the month of June by also arresting several illegal aliens who are accused of violent crimes.
32-year-old Javier Bueso was arrested on June 28. He was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Violation of a Restraining Order. Bueso was previously found guilty in 2020 for Aggravated Assault (Strangulation) and Vandalism.
On June 29, police arrested 37-year-old Mario Mendoza on a total of 18 charges including varying charges of Aggravated Assault, multiple counts of Domestic Assault with Bodily Injury, Theft of Property ($1000 or less), Driving under the Influence (2nd offense), violation of an order of protection, burglary, and resisting arrest. Mendoza was previously found guilty a DUI in 2022.
38-year-old Alejandro Perez Mato as also arrested that day. He is charged with Aggravated Assault (Strangulation), Driving under the Influence (2nd offense), failure to report an accident, and leaving the scene of an accident. Mato was found guilty of driving without a license in 2010 and was charged with the same again in 2016 but those charges were dropped.
On June 30, 33-year-old Luis Marcial was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence and without a license. In 2023, Marcial was charged with DUI but was found guilty of a lesser charge.
27-year-old Marvin Danielle Caal Cuc was also arrested. He was charged with three counts of Domestic Assault with Bodily Injury. He was charged with Harassment in 2024, but that case was retired.
All of these individuals are currently being held on an ICE hold.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An immigration detainer hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
