The three-fold assault on freedom in the West, Part 3

You can read Parts 1 and 2 of this essay here  and here.

NOWHERE and on no subject is speech more constrained than when it comes to what is characterised as ‘Islamophobia’. I am currently involved with a legal case getting compensation for a grooming gang survivor from her Muslim rapist. Muslim rape gangs have terrorised white English girls (and Sikh girls) across England for 50 years with impunity. There could be up to a million victims of child sexual exploitation in Britain, Rotherham’s Labour MP Sarah Champion told the Daily Mirror in 2015. She said she ‘nearly lost her mind’ after victims turned to her for help – ten a week coming to her, unable to trust the police or local council.

Full figures on the number jailed or sentenced in their absence for rape and sex trafficking following 80 trials in 40 towns are impossible to come by officially. Conservative MP Robert Jenrick’s question was met with ‘it is not possible to provide the specific information requested’. Peter McLoughlin (author of Easy Meat) kept a running total on his website until 2nd July 2021. The number then was 420. Though there have been further prosecutions since the number disparity suggests a huge number have evaded the law.

With at least two known deaths by rape and a catalogue of imprisonment and brutality that the term ‘rape’ simply does not cover, this is the biggest stain in English history. Police and courts have actively collapsed cases; victims have been arrested for prostitution and their fathers for public order offences when they complained; police have lost footage of video interviews with these girls

Against this background, successive governments have directed their concern less at the perpetrators and their local agency accomplices than at the courageous voices of those exposing the heinous crimes. Tommy Robinson, who did much to expose the gangs fifteen years ago, has been persistently targeted by the state and subjected to what can only be called lawfare. It is much easier to silence decency than to fix a problem like the closed Muslim communities that have protected their rape gangs – and the police, doctors and child protection services which have turned a blind eye.

Our legal case to get financial compensation from the already charged and sentenced rapist has taken four years so far with waits of five or six months between court rulings. Yet the British legal system has been able to lock up Facebook and X users in 48 hours for unacceptable speech.

We must deduce that the Labour Government has refused a public inquiry into these rape gangs for fear of upsetting their Muslim constituencies. (One defiant independent MP, Rupert Lowe, has taken it upon himself to establish such an inquiry with half a million pounds his crowdfunder raised on X, helped by Elon Musk’s retweet.)

No group is more ‘sensitive’ to hate speech than the self-styled representatives of Britain’s Muslim communities. Labour’s ‘Islamophobia’ drive has ramped up the war on free speech. On top of stigmatising political opposition by describing millions of people, including those who ask tough questions about the rape gangs, as ‘far right’, it is pressing ahead with a draconian new definition of ‘Islamophobia’ which will further erode free speech and entirely legitimate debate about Islam and its compatibility with Western ways of life.

Compatible the 85 sharia courts in operation across the UK are not. Apparently approved by the state, they operate under the term ‘Muslim Arbitration Tribunals’ and make legal dictates separate from the British legal system. A veritable two-tier legal system in the UK, a new form of religious and segregated justice in which women and non-Muslims do not have equal rights.

Among the many aspects of their culture that defy UK law and regulation but that have been allowed are halal-only food shops. If you happen to be a non-Muslim living in one of these areas, tough luck. The food is prepared only for Muslims. Calls for a ban on non-stun slaughter, once allowed only as an exceptional religious practice but now common, have been ignored.

Thus in many parts of the UK you could be in Islamabad or Kabul or Mogadishu. Foreign-financed large mosques dominate many of these areas. Women are often covered head to foot.

Meanwhile demographic change has strengthened and normalised Islamic subculture. Between 2005 and 2020, while the general UK population grew by 10.7 per cent, the Muslim population grew by 107 per cent. By ten times. Extrapolate that and by some estimates Britain is destined to be majority Muslim by 2065. Currently London is 12 per cent Muslim, Paris 15 per cent and Brussels, the political capital of Europe, 30 per cent!

Under the rubric of multiculturalism and diversity equality and inclusion, we are forced into a moral relativism. We are not allowed to dislike or object to aspects of Islamic culture which have taken over streets and towns. If we do, we are open to hate crime or Islamophobia accusations.

Ever-developing global surveillance that we are told is for our safety can track us and then control us. Data is key and very lucrative and our online activity and shopping is our downfall. We have become the advertising product.

Likewise, we are told that congestion zones are for cutting down emissions and congestion. But the cameras record 24 hours a day, not only during the hours of the restrictions, and this data is held by private companies as well as the police.

Then there is facial recognition, which has been around in one form or another since 2015. Again we are told this is for crime prevention. Though it hasn’t stemmed the epidemic of shoplifting, it is very useful to the police.

Some are using what’s called ‘live facial recognition’. This usually involves vans equipped with the tech parked on busy shopping streets or outside stadiums and train stations, scanning the hundreds of thousands of us who come within range, attempting to match our faces to images on secretive watchlists.

Certain police forces in the UK have been trialling facial recognition technology on officers’ phones, enabling them to scan and potentially instantly identify anyone with whom they come into contact.

Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is a whole other area to monitor wrong spending of money or to take it away totally, making your existence impossible. Last month a Guardian article reported the introduction of a ‘digital travel credential’ that would make international travel passport and boarding card free. It went on to talk about passengers being able to travel through airports using their face for verification. But there’s a downside. Any ‘dissenter’, any critic of the government, can be contained. Digital IDs and 15-minute cities are the future planned for us – to contain us.

Who approved, let alone voted for, these new intrusions into our privacy, these mass surveillance tools? Who controls the data? How is it used? Do individuals lose control of their own biometric data?

Labour’s online clampdown, its outrageous show trials and ridiculous punitive sentencing, tells us one thing. They are terrified of the reach of social media and their lack of control of it, and their terror of people who speak the truth.

To date the main opposition to the British government has come from America in the shape of Elon Musk, J D Vance and Donald Trump, who all have condemned Europe’s as well as Labour’s assault on free speech and warned it will have consequences. Latest of all, Marco Rubio has announced that the State Department will issue visa bans on foreign officials who have attempted to censor American social media platforms.  It won’t just hit authoritarians in places like China, but also their copycats here. It may come as a shock to the bosses and employees of Ofcom as well as other UK officials.

In conclusion, censorship, surveillance and Islam all thrive in the vacuum of the rejection of truth. The only way to restore freedoms is by putting God first – then there is no need to censor or control. The Trump administration alone seem to understand this.
